Fresh ideas for workforce management

WHO WE ARE

In 2012 we and ABC Consulting team (the company with more than 10-years expertise in IT consulting) executed the first Russian project in implementing cloud talent management system SAP SuccessFactors for URALCHEM JSC. Since then we became leaders in this field, having executed projects in staff processes automation and talent management for such companies as “United Metallurgical Company”, “Kaspersky Lab”, “Bashneft”, “Rostelecom”, “Inventive Retail Group”, “MTS”, “STS Media”, “Sberbank”, “Decathlon”, Group of Companies “Megapolis”, “Evraz”, “Gazpromneft” and other. In total 20 real projects in different industries, solving different issues and having different background for the search of IT-solutions.

During this time we have gained expertise and understanding of modern world trends in HR practices and created the base for market needs analysis. Having studied requests of our clients and offers on the market, we understood that there is no platform for solving the complex problem of front office personnel management in medium and large retailers and at the same time service level increase and cost optimization. It became obvious that the market needs WFM (Workforce Management) system, that would work not as a static shift manager, but would dynamically meet demands of modern business and cover business requirements of the companies. This is why in 2016 we started developing our own product. These activities separated out into ABC Solutions company, that developed and promoted such a solution — ZOZO RCAM.

We gathered a team of highly qualified experts: business analysts, mathematical modeling specialist, developers. In total there were 21 people.

In 2017 in terms of the strategy of the project rapid growth we entered the group of companies LANIT.

It took our team less then a year to execute successful pilot projects with ZOZO RCAM in such companies as “MTS retail”, “Vimpelcom”, “Inventive Retail Group”, “VTB24”. Basing on results of some projects, we started replicating the system.

How ZOZO started

We have studied the needs of customers and tried to “pull” the processes from retail to existing solutions. However, we realized why the statistics of failed projects on implementation of workforce management systems (WFM) was excessive. The matter was that instead of pure WFM one developed a planning system far from real business tasks and processes in outlets.

Retail, not retail.

It should be noted that apart from large trading companies, the same segment includes both retail banking and service organizations with a large number of front-line personnel. Even such state giants as the “Post of Russia” and “RZhD”, to a large extent, work as front-line retailers.

Such an approach can lead to increase in cost of unreasonable overtime hours, overstaffing and decrease in revenue due to conversion fall or service level decline.

In the end, we made our product. ZOZO RCAM (Revenue & Costs Assurance Management) is a system for managing the profitability and level of service of trade organizations, which is based on the optimization and forecasting of the need for workforce. The core of the platform is a symbiosis of business modeling, mathematics, BigData, scalability and flexibility.

Why ZOZO?

Having started developing the solution, we tackled the strategy, which was drawn in a presentation titled “ABC Solutions. Strategy 2020”. The font of the headline of the presentation was accidentally changed, and the number 2020 visually turned into ZOZO.
Everyone liked the idea of this name. It also turned out that the acronym ZOZO in the US means Zombie Zone, which is very suitable for potential optimization objects that our company is engaged in. No more zombies in retail! So the funny word ZOZO has become a brand.

Our team

Mikhail Engelgardt
CEO, Co-founder

Mikhail has had management experience in IT, distribution and consulting for large business since 2006. Since 2010 – had worked in SAP CIS and in 2012 became one of the initiators and developers of SuccessFactors solution launch (talent management system) as the first cloud product of SAP for Russia and CIS. In 2014 Mikhail joined ABC Consulting team as commercial director and partner. His area of responsibility was building strategic relations with key customers, active promotion of SAP SuccessFactors solution on the Russian market and new business development. In 2015 Mikhail became vice-president, business development in industrial sector of MAYKOR company. Since 2016 Mikhail is the head of ABC Solutions. He has wide expertise in optimization and automation of staff, management and business processes.

Maxim Ryabov
COO, Co-founder

Maxim – is one of the founders of ABC Consulting. Since 2007 he has been Development Director. In 2016 he also became co-founder and managing director in ABC Solutions. Maxim has 15-years’ experience of work with industrial corporate systems. Customer focus approach enables Maxim to develop relations with partners efficiently and expand company business successfully, as well as build on professional relations with key customers. Maxim’s main task is to search for and thoroughly work on perspective growth directions.

LYUDMILA AGEEVA
Key account manager

Lyudmila joined ABC Solutions team in 2017. She has sales experience of more than 7 years in logistics and IT-industry. Lyudmila is in charge of business development with key accounts in retail, banks and service companies. She is deeply involved in business with each client on all stages of cooperation: from idea creation and potential interest to detailed elaboration of project execution options and launch control of the solution chosen. She thoroughly works with requests from the clients, which means addressing in detail the task from the very start and planning deal preparation optimally, as well as coordinating all peculiarities and potential risks with the client beforehand. Such approach enables Lyudmila to build transparent and more important – predictable and comfort relations for the client.

EKATERINA KOZYR
CCO

Joined the team in January 2017 in the role of Commercial director. Ekaterina is in charge of the commercial part of ZOZO RCAM – promotion and popularization of the product on the market. Ekaterina has been working on IT solutions market for retail and FSI for more than 12 years. During the last several years she was the head of sales in retail department in Xerox CIS. Ekaterina possesses vast experience of project management of solutions implementation in automation and business processes optimization in retail and finance.

ALEXEY KOLGANOV
CTO

“Alexey possesses more than 15-years’ experience in IT industry, he has vast experience in infrastructural projects execution and systems of Enterprise level implementation. Alexey worked with different industries – power, oil and gas, retail and wholesale, banking sector, metallurgy and mining. He has experience of Competence and expertise centers establishment with geographically developed network.
In 2014 Alexey joined ABC Consulting as the head of SAP, where he was in charge of developing out-of-the-box solutions for wholesale and SAP APO (DP, SNP, gATP, PP-DS) solutions. In 2015 he started developing the expertise of own solutions of the company. One of the key directions of this work became solutions in workforce management sphere. Since 2016 Alexey has been focusing on ZOZO RCAM development in the role of Technical director in ABC Solutions.

MAXIM KUZNETSOV
CMO

Maxim has more than 10-years’ experience in marketing management of complex products for B2B, B2G markets. He has the experience of creating marketing departments from the ground up and new product launches. He joined ABC Consulting in 2016 in the role of Marketing director. His main task was to build marketing strategy in order to develop communications with customers with regard to SAP SuccessFactors solution. In 2017 Maxim joined ABC Solutions team in order to render marketing support for ZOZO RCAM market launch on the Russian market.
